Most homeowner’s insurance policies have a convenient yet inexpensive endorsement called identity theft. The name can be misleading.  Identity theft does not cover theft of money. The coverage you get added onto your homeowner policy is limited to only the extra expense associated with a breach involving your data, but it will not pay for the actual loss of your stolen assets.
